Customs Information and Paperwork
If you are sending bags, suitcases and boxes overseas to another EU country, then they will not be subject to any import tax or duty, and they will not need to pass through any customs clearance. If your possessions are being transported to a non-EU country, you will have to declare them, as this is a legal requirement.
We recommend that clients do their own research on the customs regulations of the country they are shipping their items to. That way you won’t be hit with any unexpected duties or taxes when sending bags overseas, and it should ensure that your possessions clear customs quickly and efficiently.
Upon arrival at your destination country, should customs clearance procedures be required to pass your goods for delivery, an agent can be appointed to assist you. If you choose to do so, you may appoint your own customs clearance agent. Any fees associated with customs clearance will be at the expense of the client (appertaining to required information or documentation). Any taxes or duties are excluded from the quoted shipping costs.
